ROLE TITLE: Senior Leasing Manager

My Job is:

To work within the Group Property Team to lead the mall leasing teams in Asia, Central Europe and Turkey to ensure the best terms are achieved to great tenants so we improve our trading destination for customers and rental income for the business.


Resource Complexity

To lead the existing leasing team in Country to maximise our tenant mix.

Lead and Manage the leasing of our new shopping centre developments.

Provide strategic leasing advice.

To be responsible for all anchor tenant and major space use lettings in malls in Central Europe, Turkey and Asia.

Grow internal leasing expertise by the building of strong relationships with retailers.

Manage external consultants eg. agents, solicitors, project managers, architects etc..

Maximise rental income from the portfolio by driving footfall and meeting customers’ expectations.

Review legal documentation to be in line with industry standards and to ensure consistency.

Liaise with other internal departments to ensure that all third party space is open and trading at the same time as new stores or refitted stores open for trade.

Secure internal stakeholder buy-in to proposed tenant mix and leasing strategies.

Work closely with the Group Property team to identify and implement asset enhancing opportunities including re-developments and extensions.

Problem Solving – The types of problems that need to be solved.

High level influencing, both internally and externally, will be necessary to ensure great schemes with excellent tenants are developed.

Must be able to think strategically, act quickly and appropriately to solve issues. Attention to detail will be important as well as the ability to think laterally.

Change – The performance improvements or innovations that are required.

Must have the ability and confidence to challenge existing processes and champion new ideas whilst taking stakeholders and internal teams with them.

Create a culture in our mall business, where we are a great landlord to do business with.

The change target is to double the value of our mall business in 5 years.

• RICS qualified.
• Previous retail leasing experience, preferably of both new and existing space.
• Established contacts with both retailers and their agents, including leisure operators.
• A good understanding of the development and planning process.
• High level influencing and stakeholder management.
• Client relationship management.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Personnel management skills.
• Excellent communicator both written and verbal.
• Good attention to detail.
• Financial awareness and budgeting accuracy
• Ability to prioritise and work on own initiative.
• Good level of IT skills.
• Clean Driving Licence.
• Able to travel extensively to Asia, Central Europe and Turkey.
