Looking after the water, waste water gas and electricity needs of over 300,000 businesses across England, Scotland and Wales, our client is an exciting new venture and is poised to become a major new force in the B2B utilities market.
We are looking for an accomplished business development manager, based and working in England, to help deliver our continued growth aspirations. Our client’s aim is to employ driven, passionate and ambitious individuals who can contribute to the success and accomplishments of the business and in return enjoy working within a company who have a keen focus on developing, retaining and rewarding their employees.
The role will work closely with the Business Development team and Business Development Team Manager, Finance team and Bid Team, to play a lead role in the development of high quality, competitive and on time customer RFI’s, RFQ’s and tenders for new proactive sales opportunities and end customer tenders.
The individual will develop a strong working relationship with TPI’s and end customers to encourage competitive opportunities, influence tender specification and maximise conversion rate for tenders. Develop new opportunities with end customers and proactively work with the Marketing Team on the identification, planning, co-ordination and management of customer promotional events and marketing materials, such as exhibitions, press releases and case studies.
This position is home based and it will involve regular travel to locations throughout the UK. The successful individual will receive a competitive salary, is not commission based, an excellent bonus scheme, a generous benefits package and a cash for cars allowance.

With previous experience in a commercial environment, the successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent relevant qualification and must have proven sales and account management experience. With the ability to build strong customer relationships, you will have extensive experience of securing sales and managing customers based over a large geographical area and be confident working at all levels of the supply chain.
Please note…Whilst experience of the water, energy or telecoms markets would be an advantage, it is not essential. A motivated, professional and enthusiastic approach to business development is a pre-requisite.
